Urban storyteller, LST, creates first studio album Working Hard but Hardly Working, with fresh new production and slick new sound.

Leigh Samuel Taylor is the fresh talent emerging from the heart of Southampton, known widely as LST. Through starting his career in music, LST worked the graft of the club circuit throughout the UK. Incorporating the well-honed talents of a skilled poet and vocalist, LST strived to take a different route. Through utilising slick urban story telling personas and taking on a collective of a full band, LST created a fresh sound that inspires his personal neo-futuristic take on street music.

Coming from a family of professional musicians his father was a prolific session bass player that worked with the likes of Soul2Soul, Bitty MacLean, Boy George, Chicane and many others, with a mother as a respected vocal coach who is also currently a musical director of Southampton Pentecostal Church.

Right after forming the band in April 2011, LST took a chance and entered 'Road To Blissfields' the competition for a slot at the biggest independent festival on the south coast, Blissfields. Championing over 100 competing bands LST amazingly won the first prize and performed on the main stage of the festival. Shortly after Blissfields, LST became a subject of an award winning documnetary "Cherish Life" produced by Meridian television company, highlighting the problem of the rise in crime amongst the youth in the UK today.

With such exporsure it has led to radio airplay including being featured on BBC Introducing: The South, and his track 'Let Go' was named as Radio 1Xtra's track of the week. Inspired by the positive feedback from the media, LST actively gigged which led to supporting slots for the likes of Ndubz, Chipmunk, Kosheen and Clemant Marfo and The Frontline.

Being under the radar LST was also swooped up to rub shoulders with the likes of Zane Lowe, Mark Ronsonand Calvin Harris. After being chosen to take part in the first ever BBC Introducing musician's master class at legendary Abbey Road and Maida Vale Studios.

LST is currently in the process of finishing his full length, debut album titled, Working Hard But Hardly Working, collaborating with the legendary Billy Bragg (Levi Stubbs' Tears / This Is England) and new up and coming electronic dance trio Kadilax at Toneville studios.

Drawing on the past experiences of his life, LST creates a vibrant soundtrack to life on the street. Exploiting the spectrum of genres, LST builds the bridge between classic traditions of Motown and British hard rock with an indie tinge.

Without being over-political, LST provides a down to earth honest look on the world of today. He draws inspiration from personal experiences of inner city life, incorporating everything from relationships, life progression and involving the loss of friends.
